She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Howell Ouzts Sr. and Cecil Slaton Ouzts; her siblings, Eddie Howell Ouzts Jr. (Bert), John Ellis Ouzts (Pat), Wynette Ouzts Holmes (Ray) and Janice Ouzts Schreffler (Bob); her sister-in-law Evelyn Cassels Shaw; Wycliffe Hillis and Keith Shaw.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Willard Cassels; her daughter Emily Ouzts Rowan (Jay); her grandchild Waycross; her sister-in-law Agnes Cassels Hillis; her children, Laura Cassels (Tim), Carol Cassels Otte (David) and Scott Cassels (Brenda); her grandchildren, Jason Cassels (Heather), Aislinn Cassels-Hyde, Keri Cassels Hartsell (Nathan), Casey May Connell (Zane) and Abby May Irion (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Alex Cassels, Sean Cassels-Hyde, Austin, Cole, Brady, Kate Connell, Reagan, Jemma Hartsell and Jack Irion; and her friend Frances Hooks Roberts (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins from her birth family.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (318 S Broad St, Cairo, GA 39828).
