He is survived by : his daughter Kelly Brookens; his wife Bernadine Brookens (Miller) of Springfield, MA.; his children, Nikki Brookens, Marc Brookens II, Keisha Hardin, Kimberly Brookens and Herschel Owens; his stepson John Marcus Finch; his siblings, Dr. Florence O. Eastman of So, NJ, Tina Brookens Johnson (Alfred L. Johnson, Sr.) of Ridgeland, MS and Karen L. Ward of Augusta, GA; his siblings-in-law, Jean Brookens and Bryan E. Miller of Springfield, MA.; his aunts, Emma Bailey of Birmingham, AL, DC of Washington and Alma Murray of Springfield, MA; and his uncle Joseph E. Postell (Mary Jo) of Springfield, MA.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
