He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burton and Dessie Brown Edwards; his wife Barbara Davis Edwards; his brothers, James Edwards and Elijah Edwards; and his brother-in-law Hubert "Pete" Holloway.
He is survived by: his daughter Aimee; his son-in-law Rex Lowe of Calhoun, GA; his grandson Jason (Victoria Henson); his great grandchildren, Zoey Grace Henson of Adairsville, GA and Jaxon Craig Henson of Adairsville, GA; his siblings, Harry Edwards of Chatsworth, GA, Sue Holloway of Calhoun, GA and Ann Bailey of Calhoun, GA; his sisters-in-law, Robbie Jean Edwards of Calhoun, GA and Martha Lynn Edwards of Dalton, GA; his close friend Melba Sewell of Calhoun, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Sarah Ann and Dan Davis of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Ponders Calhoun Chapel (675 Jolly Rd NW, Calhoun, GA 30701). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
