We bid farewell to Alma Baker of Calhoun, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Alma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cox and Sue Junkins Cox; her husband Jack Baker; and her siblings, Doyle Cox (Ella), Lloyd Cox (Nina), Matthew Cox (Ann), Calbert Cox, Hanlan Cox, Billy Cox (Pat) and Marie Silvers (Mack).
She is survived by: her daughters, Gail Godfrey (Sammy), Tammy Sneed (Paul), Glenda Dinning (Ken) and Sandy Cashon (Kevin); her stepchildren, Joey Baker (Kim), Steve Baker (Sharon), Diane Kirk and Glenda Baker; her sister-in-law Nancy Cox; her grandchildren, Chris Godfrey (Candace), Amanda Schwanbeck (Jeremy), Kelly Preece (Andrew), Jonathan Dinning, Shea Sneed (Myriah), Shannon Sneed, Emily Nimon (Austin), Heather Hudgens (Matthew), Autumn Cashon and Avery Cashon (Katherine); and her close friend Phyllis Pendley. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home (711 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
