She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Burruss and Lucy Burruss; and her husband Bill Martin. She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Callahan and Meredith Gumm; her sons-in-law, Craig Callahan and Grayson Gumm; her grandchildren, Ross, Taylor Callahan, Jacob Callahan, Kailey, Alden Abshire, Conner Gumm and Marygrace Gumm; and her siblings, Susan Hamm and Ray Burruss Jr..
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sawnee View Memorial Cemetery (1390 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040).
Donations may also be made in Carol's memory to her Sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Calhoun.
