He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Lee Talley and Maude Massingill Talley; his former life partner Magdeline Talley; and his siblings, Ruby Whaley, Brenda, Linda, Thelma, Shirley Talley, Haward Talley and Vernon Talley.

He is survived by : his wife Doris E. Talley; his sons, Adam Talley of Tunnell Hill, GA. and Joseph (Katie Talley); his granddaughter Lydia Talley of Ringgold, GA.; and his siblings, Gwen Harris of Resaca, GA., Geneva Klotz (Don) of Resaca, GA. and Kenneth Talley (Sandi) of Calhoun, GA..

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home (711 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
