He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Painter and Ida Mae Brackett Painter; and his brothers, Alvin, Wallace and Jackie Painter.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hall Painter; and his children, Tim Painter (Cheryl), Jeff Painter (Barbie), Kacee Smith (Belinda) and Kendra Pickens (Kendall). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the South Calhoun Baptist Church (411 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
