He was predeceased by: his parents, Mavis Lucille Fortenberry and Troy Johnson Fortenberry; and his siblings, Pat Fortenberry, Johnson Fortenberry and Mark Fortenberry.
He is survived by: his brother Sam Fortenberry; his children, Tia Conner, Cristie Turner, Michelle Botts, Roger Botts, William Botts and Dwight Botts; and his grandchildren, Gavin Hardy, Gabriel Hardy, Ashley Beck, Jaimie Beck, Amber Turner, Layla Beck and Ava Hendrix.
