He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alexander Merlin and Vesta Bobo Cook. He is survived by: his children, Bailey Merlin (Richardson Smith) of Boston, MA, Jillian of Canton, GA, Juliet Merlin of Canton, GA, Jacob Merlin of Buckhead, GA and Joshua Merlin (Josefin) of Hamburg, Germany; his grandchildren, Noah and Isla Merlin; his siblings, Heather Merlin Thames of Niceville, FL and Gregory Merlin of Pensacola, FL; and the mothers of children, Kimberly Merlin and Joanne Brown.
