He was predeceased by: his father James Sanford Franklin; his wife Barbara Jean Franklin; and his daughter Shirley Jean McArthur. He is survived by: his children, Pamela (Scott McGuire), Lisa (Richard Hagan) and Kenneth J. Franklin of Calhoun, Georgia; his stepdaughter Jennifer (Jeff Kirkland); and his grandchildren, Christopher Clayton, Kirk Clayton, Bobby Coker, Brandon Coker, Bradley Coker, Zachary Whitfield, Levi Franklin, Justin Burchfield and Tristann Jordan. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
