With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Allen Prather (Calhoun, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Prather and Opal Clark Prather. He is survived by: his siblings, Oweta Prather Phipps, Buck and Jimmy Prather; his wife Faye; his son Kirk (Cathy); his grandchildren, Haley, Andy, Liz and Piper Prather; his close friend Will Thompson; his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Jackie Prather; and his siblings' children, Vicki Hodges, Tommy Prather, Eddie, Kevin, Lynn and Bryan Phipps.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home (711 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church (4921 Fairmount Hwy SE, Calhoun, GA 30701).
