Linda Carol Deaton Obituary
We announce the death of Linda Carol Deaton of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Jackson, Kentucky, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 81. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her children, William Philip "Bill" Deaton Jr. (Teri), Lauren Scott Laughridge (Deaton), Lee and Tyler Hatton Deaton (Jay); her sister Ruth Elaine Sharp (Hatton); and her grandchildren, Carolanne, Cameron, Caroline, Campbell, Clare, Loretta and Thomas. She is also survived by 12 foster children.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the University of Kentucky Woman's Club Student Aid Fund, which supports students with unmet financial needs at her alma mater (UKWC Aid Fund, PO Box 22172, Lexington, KY 40522).
