She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Hall Ballard and Davidson Fulco Ballard; her husband Tony Olshefski; her brother Dave Ballard; her son-in-law Jeff Townsend; her brother-in-law Don Rogers; her granddaughter Sherry Townsend; and her great great grandchild Lainee Ivey.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Townsend, Dana Hammond (David), Greg Smith (WuShuang) and John Olshefski (Sharon); her grandchildren, Brandon Townsend, Zack Townsend (Molly), Chelsea Fletcher (Jody), David Townsend, Taylor Whitham, Hunter Hammond, Ethan Smith and Hannah Smith (David); her great great grandchildren, Brody, Collin, Devin, Eden, Ella, Finn, Haydn, Jack, Jake, Lykan, Macaela and Makenzie; and her sister Shirley Rogers. She is also survived by grandchildren's spouses and partners, nieces and nephews, extended family and many treasured friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Calhoun First United Methodist Church (411 College St, Calhoun, GA 30701).
