She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoke Smith and Ruby Parks Smith; her husband George W. Cox; and her siblings, Warren Smith, Yvonne Fuquea (Kenneth) and Frances Nichols (Lee).
She is survived by: her brothers, Carter Smith (K. K.) and Anthony Smith (Tonya). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
