He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Yancey and Gracelle Tanner Yancey; and his grandparents, Arthur, Lema Yancey, Oscar and Lela Tanner.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Jackson Yancey; his children, Stephanie Bennett and Steven Yancey (Julie); and his grandchildren, Ashley Bennett, Morgan Bennett, Austin Yancey and Sawyer Yancey. He is also survived by family and friends.
