He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Wendell Nichols; and his daughter Faith Anne Nichols. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Mantz Nichols; his wife Susan Moyer Nichols; his children, Stephen Morris, William Nichols, Antonio Nichols, Ezekiel Nichols, Billy Nichols, Timmy Nichols, Carolyn Nichols, Elizabeth Nichols, Kinsey Nichols and Anna Kate Nichols; his brother Robby Nichols; and his father-in-law William Moyer. He is also survived by three foster children.
