He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Helms and Eloise Helms; his wife Darlene Helms; and his siblings, Jerry Helms, Patricia, Pat, Diane Helms West and Becky Cornett.
He is survived by: his children, David Lovell (Mary), Mary Beth Lovell and Jennifer Hinds (Tim); his siblings, David Cornett (Bonnie) and Sandra Matthews; his siblings-in-law, Randy West and Carol Helms; his grandchildren, Kendrick, Aurora, John, Amber and Ashley; his great grandchild Charlie; and his close friend Laverne Wells.
