It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Douglas Nicholson (Calhoun, Georgia), born in Albertville, Alabama, who passed away on October 5, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, David Nicholson and Evelyn Dollar Nicholson; his son Timothy Brian Nicholson; his brother Gerron Nicholson; and his grandson Blake Bennett.

He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Potts Nicholson; his children, Laura Bennett (Dwayne) and Matt Nicholson (Christy); his sister Elinda Hicks; his grandchildren, Adam Bennett, Brandi Purkey, Jadyn Nicholson and Colton Bennett; his great grandchild Olivia Bennett; and his sons, Bruce Potts and Rev. George Gray.
