She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Pitts and Bert Pitts; her husband Leadus Johnson; her daughter Paula Ann Johnson; her siblings, James, William Pitts, Everlean Pitts Jackson, Heartha Simmons and Mamie DeShazier; and her grandson Sherman Dupree Collins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Hattie Bell (Calvin) of Atlanta, GA, Margie Johnson, Patricia and Thelma; her grandchildren, Stacey Bell of Atlanta, GA, Christopher Johnson (Angela) of Warrenton, GA, Micteca Wright (Patrick) of Camak, GA, Corey Collins (Salvacion) of Colorado Springs, CO, Patrice Bell of Norcross, GA, Schmarcus Collins (Taquila) of Fairburn, GA, Charlese Wright of Camak, GA, Rodrick Johnson (Venisha) of Fairburn, GA, Tina and Ralph Johnson (Olivia) of Augusta, GA; her cousin Trellis Jenkins of Atlanta, GA; her niece Arlene Priscilla Johnson of Warrenton, GA; and her friend Helen Jones of Monroe, GA.. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and mourning friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dawson''s Mortuary Chapel (98 Hopgood St, Warrenton, GA 30828). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Lithonia Baptist Church (910 Lithonia Church Rd, Norwood, GA 30821). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Future Progress Society Cemetery.
