Carol Thornton Ray Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Thornton Ray of Canon, Georgia, who passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alston Thornton and Katylu Rampey Thornton; and her daughter Brenda Ray Harbin. She is survived by: her husband William R. Ray; her sons, Robert Ray (Lynn) of Canon, David Ray (Sherry) of Canon and Steven Ray (Janelle) of Columbus, GA; her son-in-law Vernon Harbin of Hartwell; her brother Gene Thornton of Alpharetta, GA; and her grandchildren, Angela Harbin Carpenter (Eric), Elena Crase (Nathan), Cassie Ray, Gracie Ann Ray and Garrett Ray. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
