He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Herbert Beggs Sr. and Geneva Hilley Beggs. He is survived by: his wife Carol Holbrook Beggs of Canon; his son Jonathan D. "Jon" Beggs (Cindy) of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Lindsay of Hartwell, Ryan of Hartwell and Jamie Beggs of Hartwell; and his sister Lynn B. Martin of Bowersville.
