It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alene Sarah Padgett of Canton, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Nelson and Nancy Nelson; her siblings, Helen Nelson, Billy Nelson and Earl Nelson (Ola); her nephew David Nelson; and her son-in-law Wayne Dedmon.
She is survived by: her husband Max G. Padgett; her children, Penny Sweat (Dewitt), Charlene Dedmon, Vickie Cloud (Steve) and Jamie Padgett (Victoria Collett); her grandchildren, Jacob Padgett, Kyle Sweat, Ryan Sweat, Samuel Padgett, Whitney Sweat, Victoria Padgett, Ethan Padgett and Logan Collett; and her siblings-in-law, Ben Edd Padgett (Judy), Helen Padgett and Carroll Martin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
