She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hershill Tierce; her parents, John Benefield and Rosie Mae Benefield; and her siblings, Christine Benefield, Bobbie Tierce (Inez Fowler), Herman and Horace Benefield.
She is survived by: her sister Frances Pruitt of Canton, Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
