She was predeceased by: her husband James B. Smith; her parents, Pat Rich and Angelena Rich; and her siblings, Mattie Jo Blackwell, Junior Rich, Hubert Rich, Margie Turner, Jimmie Ann Hardin, Calvin Rich and Infant Hulon Rich.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Smith (Gina) and Tammie Hurt (Victor); her grandchildren, Canaan Hurt (Dava), Eli Smith (Cassandra), Emily McGrew (Chris), Sarah Hurt, Victoria Blanton (Bryn) and Ezra Smith; and her brothers, Lloyd Rich (Ernestine) and Spud Rich (Opal). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
