He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Wankel and Viola Wankel; his grandparents, Harry, Louise Wankel, George and Grace Jockisch; his niece Suzanna Wankel; and also Viola.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his daughters, Deborah (Bill), Tamara (Rodney) and Dana (Joe); his grandchildren, Amanda (Kris), Brittany (Devin), Bradley (Kayla), Andrew (Gianna), Cole, Caleb and Leah; his great grandchildren, Oakley, Emmett and Rowan; and his brothers, Roger (Teresa), Donald (Donnie) and Robert (Julie). He is also survived by nephews, a niece, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grace Church (1160 Butterworth Rd, Canton, GA 30114).
