He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louise "Midge" Nettles (Pilon) and Raymond Nettles; and his adoptive mother Emily Fogle. He is survived by: his brothers, Charles, Gilbert, Ronald and James; his former wife Barbara Jean (Winkler); his wife Michele Kay (Shufelt); his children, Deb Nettles (Will), Ted Hannock (Danielle), David F. Nettles, Jr. (Lauren) and Kellie Trefzger (David); and his grandchildren, Veronica Kolegas (Ryan), Jordan Barbeau (Gabby), Alex Nettles, Christopher Hannock, Faith Hannock and Leah Trefzger.
A burial will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (2025 Mt Carmel Church Ln, Canton, GA 30114).
