As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Douglas C. may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Donna R. Meyers. He is survived by: his father John C. George; his wife Ruth Ann George (Weis); his children, Emily Lyons (Joe) and Eric George; his brother Dale George (Toni); and his stepsisters, Cathy Riffenburg (Charlie) and Gina McDowell (Steve). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home (1720 Elk St, Port Huron, MI 48060). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
