He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Smith; his parents, John Smith and Annie Mae Smith; and his son-in-law Bill Threewitt. He is survived by: his children, Gerry Smith (Wanda), Jerry Smith (Brenda), Barbara Threewitt and Peggy Mullins (Tim); his grandchildren, Shanahn Smith, Lance Threewitt, Jeremy Smith, Timothy Mullins (Jocelyn), Dylan Jobe Threewitt and Colby Mullins (Kerri); his great grandchildren, Erynn Smith and Ephraim Smith; and his close friend Evylon Hembree. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Buffington Baptist Church (4319 Jay Green Rd, Canton, GA 30115).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Buffington Baptist Church.
