She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Perdue and Bernard Perdue; and her sister Sarah Jane Matthews. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Benjamin Thomas (Joe); her children, Joseph Benjamin Thomas, Jr. (Tom) and Margaret Allison Lowry (Roger); her granddaughter Sally Elizabeth King (Trey); and her stepgrandchildren, Nicholas and Ashlee Sharpe. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local charity, shelter, or food pantry in her memory.
