She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Jefferson Briggs, Sr. and Pearl Margaurite Cope Briggs; her husband Milford Simpson; her children, Debra Cobb (Jerrell) of Canton, GA, Steve Simpson (Maryann) of Clemmons, NC, Mark Simpson (Dawn) of Winston-Salem, NC and Jeff Simpson (Kim) of Lexington, NC; and her grandchildren, Kimberly McPhail (Ryan) of Canton, GA, Kristi (John) of Lexington, NC, Layne Vaughan (Mark) of Lexington, Stephanie Castevens (Kasey) of Mocksville, NC, David Simpson of Huntersville, NC, Garrett Simpson (Laurenne) of High Point, NC, Kaitlyn Carlton (Korey) and Emily Simpson of Lexington, NC. She was also cherished by eleven great grandchildren.
