He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Byers and Frances Byers; his aunt Bonnie Byers; and his grandparents, Hiram, Mary Jane "Janie" Byers, Walter and Stella Harbin Quarles.
He is survived by: his son Joey Byers; and his sisters-in-law, Paula Dorris, Sue Byrd and Ann Byrd. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
