She was predeceased by: her parents, Gay P. Stapp and Nettie Moore Stapp; and her children, Julie Newman of Birmingham, AL and Jay Cassady of Navarre, FL.. She is survived by: her husband John Boman Varnon of Caledonia; her son Phillip Cassady (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Rachel Cosson, Coleman Cassady and Katherine Griffis.
