She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. "Jack" and Alice Ida Olin King. She is survived by: her husband Philip Martin Herndon; her son Clifford John Edmisten (Heather Burns Edmisten); her brother Mark Robert King (Theresa Ann); her sibling's children, Brian Scott King (Annie Hughes King) and Sarah Marie King Wiggins; her great-nephews, Isaac Leo Wiggins, Jacob Wiggins, Nathaniel King and Andrew King; her great-niece Rebekah King; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Herndon and Mark Edward Herndon (Rebecca Taylor Herndon).

Due to COVID-19 facial coverings are required, no food is permitted and chapel seating is limited to 50 people.
