He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Canter; his brother Bobby Canter; his sister-in-law Carolyn Canter; and his son-in-law Paul Isherwood. He is survived by: his wife Carole Canter of Canton, Georgia; his daughters, Cynthia Isherwood of Canton, Georgia, Christina (Robby) of Bedford, Indiana and Anne (Mark) of Raleigh; his stepgrandson Alexander Isherwood of McLean, Virginia; and his brothers, Thomas (Marjorie Kelly) and Terry (Ellen Sullivan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
