She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Schaeffer; her son Lawrence Schaeffer, III (Kimberly); and her sisters, Cynthia Pilet, Denise Fuzette (Paul) and Rebecca Abney Billiot. She is also survived by five grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
