He is survived by: his parents, Odell Pierce and Mary Pierce; his siblings, Emma Lou Gravley, Charles Pierce and Bobby Pierce; his wife Mary Pierce; his sons, John Fred Pierce, Jr. (Beth) and Kevin Pierce; his grandsons, Justin Pierce (Allison) and Trevor Pierce; his great grandchildren, Adalynn Pierce, Hannah Pierce and Kaitlyn Pierce; and his sister-in-law Inez Pierce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Buffington Baptist Church.
