He was predeceased by: his parents, Buster Garland and Martha Garland; his daughter Tammy Stanfield; his granddaughter Stephane Jones; and his siblings, Jewell McCoy, Wayne Garland and Jerral Garland.
He is survived by: his niece Vicky West; his children, Jeffrey Garland (Angela), Greg Garland, Lori Jones, Regenia Osborne (Bobby), Scott Garland (Teresa) and Daniel Moncrief; his brothers, Joe Garland and Jerry Garland; and his close friend Jeanette Moncrief. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
