She was predeceased by: her husband Winford L. Lewis; her parents, Mitchell Greene and Ardelphia Greene; her children, Becky Pendley and David Lewis; her brothers, Arthur Greene, Lealon Greene and Melvin Greene; and her son-in-law Charles Pendley.

She is survived by: her daughter Donna Pendley; her son-in-law Barry Pendley; her sisters, Linda Faye Cox, Laverne Roper and Dianne King; her grandchildren, Cindy, Marc Schmitz, Katie, Charlie Kimsey, Ben, Sarah Pendley and Daniel Pendley; and her great grandchildren, Lily and Evie Kimsey.

“I was blessed to meet Marie last month when we were roommates in the nursing/rehab center. What a sweet lady! Was looking forward to continuing our friendship after we were both out. She was a source of knowledge about Canton. so interesting. She adored her family , especially Ben and Sarah, and appreciated all their help. Marie will definitely be missed. Barbara Elkins”
