We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2025, at the age of 83, Martha Hyde in Canton, Georgia, born in Kennesaw, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Martha departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Martha leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frankie Hyde; and her parents, Hiram Cantrell and EmmaLee Cantrell. She is survived by: her sisters, Jean Huey and AnnieLee Atkins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carmel Baptist Church, 2001 Bascomb Carmel Rd., Woodstock, GA 30189 or the American Cancer Society.
