It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Hampton of Canton, Georgia, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Hampton, Sr. and Sally Walker Hampton; her children, Evonne Hooks Danile and Christopher J Hooks; and her siblings, Evelyn Hampton, Onedith Hampton, Lonnie Hampton Jr., Nelson Hampton and Shirley Lango.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Hooks (April), Dexter Hooks (Crystal), Angela Hooks, Kevin Roach Sr., Scottie Roach (Tamia), Cynthia Roach, Gary Roach (Angela) and Rocky Arthur (Dionne); and her siblings, Edith Boyer Hampton and Milton Hampton. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
