It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mitchell Floyd (Canton, Georgia), born in Marietta, Georgia, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mitchell departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mitchell. Though Mitchell may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his mother Faye Floyd; and his brother Michael Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Donna Floyd; his children, Jonathan Floyd (Hanna), Mindy Floyd (Anna), Candace Swallows (James) and Kurie Roberts (Stefan); and his father Rev. Larry Floyd. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
