It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sarah Godfrey (Canton, Georgia), who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jay" Godfrey; her son Jonathan Godfrey; and her brothers, Max Rogers and Quillen Rogers. She is survived by: her daughters, Jamiee Marsh (Brett) and Sally Decker (Kevin); her sister Mary Ruth Hall; and her grandchildren, Autumn Clark, Clint Decker, Brittiny Bagshaw, Blake Cowart, Jada Cline and Jayce Cline. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
