He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanton Underwood and Linnie Bell Underwood. He is survived by: his wife June Thompson Underwood; his children, Brandy Underwood Kelly (Joshua) and Brandon Stanley Underwood; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Leanne Kelly and Matthew James Kelly; and his siblings, Eugenia Beverly (Walter), Brenda Gravley (Larry) and Steve Underwood (Tammy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
