He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jane "BeBe" Scruggs, Lamar "PawPaw" Scruggs and Sandra "Nonnie" Lamb. He is survived by: his wife Mindy Scruggs; his sons, Dekota Scruggs and Phoenix Scruggs; his parents, Charles Scruggs (Elizabeth) and Jill Engstrom (John); his brothers, Alexander Fox (Brittany), Mason Beard (Kaylee) and Garrett Beard; his grandfather Roger Lamb; and his great-grandparents, Lynn and Lyn Atkinson. He is also survived by in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for his son's education.
