As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Zane may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, William Dale Shank, Donald Allison Shank, Wayne Mickey Shank and Naomi Pauline Shank. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Jean Ford Shank of Canton, Georgia; his daughter Margaret Sue Kerr (Steven) of Canton, Georgia; his granddaughter Kristy Lynn Dye; and his great grandchild Benjamin Ryan Smith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
