He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Lynn Shelnutt; his daughters, Khloe Lynn Shelnutt, Faith Annette Thompson and Audria Nicole Shelnutt; his mother Nancy Lynn Shelnutt; and his siblings, Trampus Shelnutt (Susan), Bonnie Christian (Rodney), Roger "Junebug" Shelnutt Jr., Daniel Shelnutt (Rachel) and Slim Shelnutt (Holly).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crawford Baptist Church (124 Church St, Crawford, GA 30630). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the same location.
