He is survived by: his wife Frances Payne Murphy; his children, Jeff Murphy and Jill; his children-in-law, Kent Hall and Elizabeth Maxwell; his granddaughters, Kalie Blevins (Seth) and Cassie Hall; his great grandchildren, Larkin and Josiah Blevins; his sister Peggy Ayers (Henry); and his pet Charlie.
