She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Carnes and Bobbie Cantrell Carnes; her husband Charles Murphy of Carnesville; and her son Chuck Murphy. She is survived by: her son Rocky (Anna Murphy) of Carnesville; her daughter-in-law Sherrell Murphy of Carlton, GA; her grandsons, Gavin Murphy (Bentley) of Carnesville, Rhett Murphy (Becca) of Homer, Brock Murphy (Haley) of Gainesville, Matthew Murphy (Mallory) of Bowersville and Cole Murphy (Laney) of Hartwell; her great grandchildren, Creed, Rhaema, Josie, Lexie, Liam Lucarell and Tatum Murphy; her brother Billy Jo; and her sister-in-law Faye Carnes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Middle River Baptist Church (540 GA-326, Carnesville, GA 30521). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Franklin Memorial Gardens (9589 GA-59, Lavonia, GA 30553).
