He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sylvester Neal and Bertha Smith Neal; his former wife Laverne Neal of Carnesville; his daughter Sheryl Neal of Toccoa; his grandsons, Allen Cobb of Woodland and Joshua Isaacs of Youngin; and his siblings, Antha Gibbons, James Rowe Neal, Cecil Ruell Neal, Gladda Amonett and Exie Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Neal of Carnesville; his children, Roy Neal Jr. (Janet) of St. Simons and Sue Tanner (Mike); and his grandchildren, Kevin Cobb (Jennifer) of Toccoa, Samantha Tanner of Hood River, Ashley Tanner of Demorest, Stephanie (Cale) of St. Simons and Barrett Neal (Olivia) of St. Simons, Georgia. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family request that in Lieu of flowers donations be made to Freedom Hill Recovery in Demorest or Franklin County Church of Christ in Franklin Springs.
