He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dalrymple and Ruby McFarlin Dalrymple; and his siblings, Eugene Gordon and Faye Adams. He is survived by: his wife Diana Dalrymple of Carnesville; his son Darrin Dalrymple (Christy) of Carnesville; his grandchildren, Timothy Dalrymple (Kayla) of Carnesville and Tori Fleming (Chris) of Carnesville; his great grandchildren, Taelyn, Dawson and Asher; and his sisters, Carolyn Shiver (Rick) of Monroe, Cathy Halford (Greg) of Lavonia and Evelyn Spencer of Toccoa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ginn Funeral Home (90 Church St, Carnesville, GA 30521). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (1310 New Bethel Rd, Carnesville, GA 30521). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the New Bethel Baptist Church Emergency Fund in Dykes' honor.
